Medical Disclaimer and Exercise Safety
Kim’s Traveling Trainer provides general fitness education and encouragement. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation or an individualized exercise prescription, and it does not replace guidance from your healthcare professional.
Not every exercise is appropriate for every person. If you have a medical condition, an injury, recent surgery, concerns about balance or mobility, or uncertainty about which activities are appropriate for you, consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing your exercise routine. Follow any restrictions or recommendations they provide.
Choose movements, resistance and modifications appropriate to your current ability. Begin gradually, review the instructions before starting, and use controlled movements. Check equipment for damage, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and exercise on a stable surface with adequate clear space.
Stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, chest discomfort, unusual shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms. Seek medical advice as appropriate. For a suspected medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Using this book, its linked videos or Digital Passport challenges does not provide live supervision or an individual assessment of your health or exercise technique. Do not continue an exercise that feels unsafe or attempt a movement you cannot perform with control. Exercise involves a risk of injury, and individual experiences and results vary.
