Meet Kim

“Don’t cry, modify.”
My Story
Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up as the daughter of legendary bodybuilder and fitness author Bill Pearl, I learned early about strength, discipline and the importance of staying active.
During more than 28 years of teaching fitness, I developed my own approach—one centered on everyday people. I have taught low-impact aerobics, step, sculpting, chair fitness, personal training and group exercise. Along the way, I learned that movement doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.
Now that I’m 70, I understand personally that we may not exercise exactly as we did years ago. But changing the way we move doesn’t mean we stop. Sometimes it simply means becoming smarter about how we move.
I created Kim’s Traveling Trainer to help active-aging adults keep movement in their lives—at home, while traveling and whenever normal routines change. You don’t need to be the fastest, strongest or most flexible person in the room. You simply need to keep moving in a way that works for you.
A Fitness Legacy
Kim’s father, legendary bodybuilder, Mr. Universe and fitness author Bill Pearl, helped shape her early appreciation for strength, discipline and lifelong movement. But Kim developed a teaching path of her own—helping everyday people find practical, approachable ways to stay active. Her goal isn’t to turn anyone into a bodybuilder. It’s to help each person become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves in a way that works for them.
